Riho



Riho The choir was founded several years ago by Islam Pilpani. This is a semi-professional singers, consisting of dancers, musicians chosen from the villages surrounding the town of Mestia Upper Svaneti.
Peasants from the village of Lenderji, Islam Pilpani followed the family tradition and like his father, he became the leader of his entire village. Inspired by one of the singers from his village who became a national star, Pilpani Islam has followed from the age of 12 years in music festivals. After leaving school he went to Tbilisi to continue studies at the conservatory. After the death of his father, he interrupted his studies to return to the village and to assist the family in farming. Today, he directs the choir Riho, and the entire choir of children of his village.
